Penny car: N 37* 41.812 / W 117* 13.438
Bring your own pennies or anything else you can stick on
a car like flat mirrors or buttons.
Add some thing to the car. There is a globe, with a rattle Snakes head, inside the globe some where inside the car. There is also a can of spray on glue but if you can bring your own. I would like to see this car covered in pennies and mirrors but add anything you like. For the first person to find it, there is a silver goblet, that you can take as your trophy.
On the way to this place you will find other cars sticking up out of the ground a few lawn mowers, a stove and ice box, and a few old movie props. One magazine referred to the cars as Goldfield valet parking.
Location: Is accessible by cars of any kind.
Ford pass: N 37* 41.520 / W 117* 13.517
This is a nice spot to dry camp. There is a wind vane here
to tell you which way the wind blows. It is kind of unusual
being home made The town of Goldfield is only two miles away
and the sunset and night view is peaceful. There used to be 20,000
people here but now only a few hundred. It is a good place to
find antique bottles and such. If you have a metal detector You
can find old coins.
Location: It's on top of a hill and you need 4 wheel drive
or maybe one of these:
Alkali Flat- Hot Springs: N 37* 49.556 / W117* 20.286
When you see the only trees for miles you have found it.
Wild horses water here all the time. There are two concrete pools
of hot water and a big pool of warm water. Clothes are optional.
If you are there your the only one. No one will bother you and
the locals don't pull in if a car is there. You can camp across the
road anywhere you like. If you run out of something Goldfield is
only 10 miles away.
The things you will find there are wild and free.
Location: accessible by car and motor home, paved road.

Toy Hill.
Here you will find a purple globe on top of a post.
Its a totom poll that protects the hill. Near by is a half buried
Toyota with toys of all kinds sitting on and around it. Is was once
the home of the Roaming Nome and a few of his friends are still
there. To the south of that a few feet is a row of motorcycles half
buried in the ground. To the west of the purple globe is a sign
that says "dip". And what a dip it is as the hill falls off about 50
yards down. This is a good place to dry camp and atv trails go all over the area.
Location: Motor home access able

Vactrac Pass
High on the hill you find a picnic table, a vacuum cleaner, and a TV.
Take a picture of yourself watching TV and cleaning up the desert.
Nice view of the cars on the highway below and the city lights at night.
Location: 4 wheel drive and atv.

The Waterfalls!
Take us95 south out of Goldfield NV. to left turn at, N 37* 50.621
W 117* 18.593 onto the dirt road. Follow it east staying to
the north side of the dry lake bed until you come to N 37* 56.698
W 117* 09.641 and turn onto the secondary road to the right.
Off in the distance you can see the white face quarts in the side of
the mountain. It looks small from here but you can't miss it against the brown mountain. (It isn't small when you get to it.) It is hundreds of feet tall and wide with the waterfall cutting down the middle. There are really 5 waterfalls here but you can only see the two lower ones unless you go around the west side and climb over into the valley behind the falls. (Short walk) Falls are at N 37* 53.888 by W 117* 06.556 ...
Climb the first short water fall going to the right of it and back in a few feet you find the upper falls drop hundreds of feet. Great place for a shower in the summer. By the way don't wonder to far from the falls on the east side because you're close to the TEST RANGE (area 51) and they get real excited. You would not want an M-16 on the end of your nose, and they will take you away, never to be seen again.
Location: Secondary dirt road but if you don't mind knocking the muffler off, a motor home can get in and out. If you're a good driver you can keep your muffler.
Find?: I have left a few silver one ounce coins out there but that was a few years ago and I don't remember where I put them. You might find a little gold if you dig at the bottom of the lower falls. If you find the coins you can keep them. There are three of them.
